SUMMARY:
SENIOR EXPLORATIONIST with over 35 years of industry experience, including all aspects of geophysical exploration with particular emphasis on seismic interpretation. During 2001 installed in-house 2D/3D seismic interpretation Seisvision (plus LogM) system. Also has Digirule well log digitising system with log plotting (inc. cross sections) software and experience in ‘HotShot’ seismic processing system.
Adviser on general exploration matters.

3/84 to now. Owner of Hereward Resources Ltd.; and has registered a branch office in the Republic of Armenia.
Part owner of Excomp Overseas Ltd., Cairo, Egypt.
4/77 to 3/84. Senior Geophysicist, then Regional Manager for GEOconsulting Ltd., London (later renamed GEOMinerals Exploration). Responsible for many seismic interpretation and general exploration projects; also advised on seismic acquisition and processing matters.
Technical Director, Computer Exploration Services Ltd. 1980 to 1986; this company later merged with Petroconsultants (UK) Ltd.
10/72 to 4/77. Geophysical Service International, Croydon and Bedford UK Assistant Party Chief on hi-tech land processing crew and eventually. Party Chief then Technical Supervisor for Interpretive Processing Unit of G.S.I.'s Exploration Services Group with complete technical, financial and operational responsibility. Work included detailed velocity studies, migration and modelling and interpretation. Projects from North Sea, offshore Ireland, South Africa, Spain, Nigeria, Senegal, Gabon, Turkey, Guyana and Iran.
9/66 to 10/72. Geophysical Service International, Tripoli, Libya. Geophysical Engineer, eventually Senior Seismologist on various land crews with prime responsibility for data processing.

Resident Senior Geophysicist (in Yerevan) on EU Tacis (Technical Assistance to the C.I.S.) project assessing the hydrocarbon potential of Armenia. Data gathering, training, advising, liaising with government as well as performing technical tasks, under quite difficult conditions. An extension to this project, involving promotion of exploration acreage to IOCs, and seismic reprocessing, followed.
Deputy Project Manager (and Senior Geophysicist) on Tacis project, ‘New Oilfield Development in South Tyumen’, 1996-7, which entailed social, legal and environmental aspects as well as a large technical component. Particular involvement in data gathering, geological and seismic interpretation.
General Manager and Chief Geophysicist for AAEC from April 1997 to July 2003. Responsible for setting up and supervising of office, organising seismic and geological exploration program, day-to-day liaison with Armenian government officials and ministers, also drilling operations with AAEC’s own drilling rig. Technical work continued following well completion July 1998. Wrote a detailed business plan and created other materials to attract a new investor, which eventually resulted in licence re-assignment to a Canadian oil company.
Spring 2005 agreed with the Armenian Ministry of Energy an eighteen month review of blocks 4, 5 and 6 (SE Armenia Project) with subsequent exclusive rights to negotiate PSAs in any area of interest. In 2007 a PSA was signed for the total area, for an Irish / Canadian consortium.
Senior Interpreter on 3D seismic surveys offshore Gabon, and more recently on major 3D survey over gas discovery in Bangladesh, using Seisworks and ZMap software.
Completed major 3D seismic interpretation in NW India.
